Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Hiram Bullock version of the Wilson Pickett song "Funky Broadway". This is from his 1986 album "From All Sides". Will Lee played bass on this track.

You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Advanced Lesson Plan.

This one is all about trying to play the same thing the same way a whole bunch of times :)

To build up my stamina and try to match what he was playing I did a few different things.

- I broke the 2 bar phrase into 4 sections. The 1st measure I practiced beats 1 and 2 separate from beats 3 and 4 and then brought them together. The 2nd bar I practiced the same way. Really try to keep the first note short and the last four notes long.
- I looped and played along with the first 2 bars at different tempos. Trying to really listen and pay attention to how he articulated.
- I played along with a drum machine 10 beats slower, at tempo, and 10 beats faster.
- I tried to play the first bar the same way every time by starting with my first finger and alternating.

I hope you enjoy it. Take your time and have fun :)

Don't forget to "like" and "subscribe" and thanks for watching.
