This is a video I've been wanting to do for over 2 years. There was so many highlights for me about that night and Steve's incredible clinic. My mom was visiting and went with me because she remembers growing up how big of a deal Steve Jordan was to me. I remember her with tears in her eyes after we finished playing together. Unreal. Anyways, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND how the feel between his playing and mine is totally different. Thats the reason why he is a freaking DRUM LEGEND. But, I wanted to do my best to break down some of my favorite chops that he did during the original video. You can check that one out below. He was really playing some pretty out there stuff compared to the really simplistic chops he normally uses so here are some of my favorites he did.

****************DRUM GEAR*****************

PDP concept classics 8x12” rack, 16x16 floor tom and a DW Design 12x20 kick. The snare is a 5x13 PDP black wax snare with a wood hoop on top. The heads are all Aquarian. Coated Black Response 2’s on the snare and toms with a Clear Superkick 2 on the bass drums. The cymbals are Dream. The hats are the 16” Contact hats and the ride is the 22” Contact crash-ride with a sizzler. I also have a Stack Ring Percussion “stack Ring” resting on the hats for a nice sizzle effect.
