Lion President
Happy New Year to all the Lions Members and their families!
As president, I challenge you to get involved
or make a difference in our fundraising and servicing the needs of
the community we serve.
With our largest fundraiser of the year approaching, we will need
all hands-on deck to make it our largest fundraiser in CL Lions History. February 1st is our 25th Winter Steak Fry. Please reach out to
the committee members to volunteer your assistance during the
event, sell advertising space, collect “cork pull” prizes, or secure
an auction item for the night. We did an outstanding job last year
to almost double what we raise on average. But, I don’t think we
are at our peak yet. I would think that we would exceed $100K on
a great effort. Also, please secure your table and ticket purchases
with Randy. Any Lions pictures you may have from last year should
go to Erik Rodewald for the slide show of activities he is creating
with Lion Moravec. Cork pull goes to Lion Derek. We will need
some shifts covered in the grill areas so members can enjoy a meal
with their guests too.
With positive changes we have planned for the night, I think the
Lions of Illinois Board members attending will realize what really
makes us the strongest club in the state, and our tight knit club
has no match in “Lionizing”.
A few meetings in January and it's GO TIME!
A am grateful for all we can accomplish together…..
