In this lesson I go more in depth concerning a couple rhythmic variations or fills in a funk style on congas. In a previous video:

I go over a conga rhythm that works well for Gospel, funk and more. In this video I begin explaining the ideas behind some of the fills in that video. After reviewing the video however I realize that the rhythm in this latest video is actually not the same, but actually a variation of the patter. I believe this video will still help since it goes over some basic ideas of how to create melodic fills within a funky conga pattern. God bless and I hope it helps! I will explore this idea further in the next video.
The songs in the video:
Intro: "When He" by Hilliary Salley
Application: "My Savior" by Hilliary Salley
