Archie Hamilton’s thriving MicroHertz imprints welcomes the up and coming Nathan Inman to the label with his brand new ‘Back To House’ EP.
Nathan Inman has emerged on to the scene with his unique style, earning him residencies at various parties across the country. Since his inception into the world of electronic music, he has embarked on a journey into crafting his own signature sound which is now taking shape as he builds a library of music spanning across multiple genres of underground music. Progressing through the different styles of the underground scene, he would best describe his sound as between minimal house and UKG sounds which can be heard in his productions & sets. His last release on Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society really garnered large support from artists such as Toman, Franky Rizardo, Sorley, Chicks Luv Us, Kevin McKay and more.
This excellent 3 track EP kicks off with the title track ‘Back To House’. A solid old school flavoured house banger with a big grooving bass line, a synth line that is reminiscent of the old garage NYC sound, and excellent punchy beats to really get you moving on the floor.
The second track of this EP ‘Lil Bit Funky’ comes at you straight from the gates with a vocal sample that is hard to ignore and great for working in the mix. With a grinding bass line, old school ssynths and popping energetic beats combining everything into a incessasnt groove this is a lively track that’s guaranteed to do damage to every dance floor.
Last but by no means least, this cracking EP closes out with a proper gem titled ‘Nowadays’. Utilising a garage bass heavy bassline right from the go this is where Inman showcases his love of various sounds from across the genre spectrum, He adds some skip to the beats and producers a straight down the line house cracker. He cleverly uses vocal cuts to bring the track to a simmer, before turning up the heat on every level. Big beats, big bassline, big drops, big release!
