The M808F2 was the second generation of the M808F Scorpion Firefly medium tank series employed by thr UNSC during the late stages of the Human-Covenant war.

Equipped with the latest innovations in weapons research, the Scorpion Firefly is one of the UNSC's most fearsome vehicles. Equipped with the SCOTOMATIC combat targeting computer system and the QF 76mm Firefly cannon (hence the name), the tank is extremely powerful.

The SCOTOMATIC targeting computer automatically targets enemy craft - when engaging ground-based targets, it can accurately aim - and hit at up to 9.5 miles (Wright--USS Beast distance), automatically leading the target and consempating for the distance. The introduction of solonite propellants, also gave the 76mm 17-pounder gun a muzzle velocity of Mach 50 (note that the ASPDU round itself weighs 17 pounds. The actual cartridge is much higher). The HEAT and S1 Canister shells exchange muzzle velocity for blast power, though, for they were not meant for antitank.

Despite this, the M808 Scorpion line of medium tanks was a testimony to the UNSC's weapons technology. A single hit to even the Firefly itself - even on the frontal armor - would penetrate, despite the armor being capable of tanking a 37mm antitank gauss gun slinging its bullets at Mach 70. Even the M808S Scorpion heavy tank could not stop the round, though it can send the round upward.

Controls:

VTOL to drive, Yaw to steer

AG1: Machine guns. 1 coaxial 7.62mm, 1 pintle 12.7mm for the commander.

AG2: Manual aiming. Roll/Pitch, zeroes on deactivation.

AG3: SCOTOMATIC combat targeting computer system. Automatically aims at targets, consempates for gun drop and leads them.

AG4: Gun stablizer.

Funky trees notes:

The ASPDU rounds are fired at Mach 55. Requires manual aiming, but does not require leading (at Mach 50 you don't need to lead targets). The HEAT rounds are equipped with contact fuses, but the S1 Canister rounds are given proximity fuses, effectively making them flak rounds. They are effective at long range, but at close, not so.
